Jose Mourinho sacked as Chelsea Manager

According to reports coming in from BBC Sport website, Chelsea F.C have fired their manager, Jose Mourinho, after the defending champions’ disastrous start to the Premier league season. Russian owner Roman Abramovich met with the board of directors at Stamford Bridge to discuss Mourinho’s future at the London football club and decided to remove Mourinho from his position even though it could cost the club as much as £12m.

Contenders for the Chelsea job include Brendan Rodgers, Guus Hiddink and Juande Ramos even the there is no obvious choice.

Mourinho’s last game in charge was Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester. In the post game interview, Mourinho said he felt his “work was betrayed” by his players. The loss meant that Chelsea who won the title in May, are in 16th place, a point above the relegation zone.
