Zambian Government Sells Shares In Mining Firm for $79 Million To Cover Fiscal Gap

The Zambian government has sold 15.9 million of its shares in ZCCM Investments Holdings (ZCCM-IH) to the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) for $79 million. ZCCM-IH, based in Lusaka, holds minority stakes in the local units of companies including First Quantum Minerals Ltd., Glencore Plc and Vedanta Resources Plc.
